About me

Douglas de Albuquerque Leite

I am a graduate in Public Relations, who hails from Brazil. Working with Public Relations is a profession which I passionately exercise in the sanitation sector for the past 23 years. In addition to my undergraduate degree, I attended a specialization in Social Psychology from the Fundação Escola de Sociologia e Política de São Paulo (Foundation School of Sociology and Politics of São Paulo), and hold an MBA certificate in Business Administration from the Business School São Paulo. Furthermore, I have also earned a Master’s degree in Science and Technology Policy from the Universidade Estadual de Campinas (State University of Campinas). I structured this academic formation aiming a solid background to strengthen my professional performance within the sanitation sector. The specialization in Social Psychology offered me a wide perspective about collective behavior and social interaction; from the MBA I acquired a necessary competence for market evaluations and investment strategies; finally, mastering the dynamics of science and technology public policies for national development, I became even more able to fulfill the valuable social role I have been pursuing. In sum, since 1996 I have been engaged in a long-term project, aiming mostly to make a difference in the way Brazilian society faces sanitation.
